Acceptance of time and things lost.
Life flows and churns, slipping through our fingers like sand.
As if trapped in the hourglass of time
Always trying to catch the ever-emptying grains,
Always trying to beat gravity,
To
Save
The sand.
But our fingers won't grasp,
The sand falls faster, it sticks to us,
Some miniscule rocks staying with us longer,
Some frozen, unforgettable, suddenly we're unable to wipe off the sand.
Maybe we just need to forget the end,
Fall, forget it all, and relax on the ever-changing bed of powder.
