Free verse poem--That's all I'm going to say; I don't like to spoil the plot |
She goes absolutely crazy Whenever even the smallest trace of him makes its way Into her young and passionate mind Her heart starts to beat intensely in her tight chest Full of longing and pure enamoration Her eyes begin to dysfunction And she cannot see straight For she is blinded by her love for him She knows she is falling At a speed greater than any human should ever experience But she also knows that she doesn't want to get up Once she hits the ground No matter the bruises and scrapes The fall may leave on her fragile body She is sick But she doesn't want to be better For the only medicine she knows she needs Is the company of the one she longs for He's the fire keeping her warm In the Arctic tundra And as he starts to melt away the endlessly vast blanket of snow That lay thick on the frozen ground It reveals the green beneath the white For a more golden scene Filled with warmth and the promise of a new beginning He's the light at the end of her tunnel Frightening away all of the creatures That lurk in the shadows, ready to pounce But he is aware of their existence For the light grows more phosphorescent And travels the length of the dark tunnel Illuminating the way to her future He is the most dazzling star in her night sky Guiding her along the path That will lead her to discover true happiness What do these three comparisons have in common? They all show that he is there for her No matter the circumstances And his presence is just enough To make her entire world a great deal brighter |
