I saw the light as it brightly shown,
All at once I was not alone.
I heard the whispering of my name,
And a shadow stepped into the frame.
This being had no manly features,
Yet he is king of all the creatures.
You would think as he walked near
That somewhere within me I’d find fear.
But in my heart happiness thrived,
Peace filled my entire life,
And for the first time I saw true grace.
A life of beauty and forgiveness,
A life for understanding and love,
A life gracefully given from above.
