An ode to anxiety and the benefits of risk
Anxiety and anticipation and only
so much planning can get you there,
across the "if-this-then-therefore."
"Maybe" skates on thin ice,
hair-thin cracks of beckoning danger.

It is a long way across the chasm,
and a long way down, too.
And only so much planning can propel,
perseverance only so far reaching,
luck and timing, an unpredictable set
of twin allies for the cause.

Vaulting the distance is not without risks,
But when there are likely more risks
In just staying put and waiting,
Why not try to make that leap?

Better to jump and fall than wait for the push.
