How did eleven years pass so quickly?
Seems like only yesterday,
I turned 10, double digits, hooray!

I feel like a 5th grade pioneer,
at the Kindergartners I sneer;
"You're such a pup." and "In my day..."
having no clue what is on the way.

I reminisce about my past,
as I graduate with my 1996 class;

4th grade was a pretty tough year,
my English teacher always sang in my ear.

In 3rd grade I mastered cursive and multiplications,
plus the art of manipulation.

In 2nd grade I conquered the solar system,
Pluto will always be a planet, ask Mrs. Simpson.

1st and Kindergarten were a breeze,
we played and took naps, we sang and we teased.

How did eleven years pass so quickly?
When I get the time I'll ponder this in deep thought,
eleven more years and most of these memories will be naught.
