Heart Broken

Lucy, sixteen years old, was feeling hopeless when it came to her love life. Her on and off boyfriend for a year now was a senior this year. His name was Luke and he was your typical “bad boy”. Lucy’s parents and all of her friends were so confused as to why she was attracted to him because Lucy had a totally different personality. What everyone didn’t know was that Lucy asked herself that same question everyday. She didn’t want her heart in the hands of this guy who always breaks it somehow, but she had no choice. She was emotionally attached to him and the feelings weren’t going away.
Well one day, Lucy was in first period and over heard this pot head girl in the back of the room talking about how much fun she had with Luke last night. Lucy immediately turned around to confirm that it was her Luke once again who was cheating. Sure enough it was, she was heart broken The bell rang and Lucy did not want to have to see Luke in their next class together. She walked in and sat down and got her books out. Luke was of course a minute late but he came in and sat at the table with her. He couldn’t speak because at this point the teacher had begun talking. Luke noticed that Lucy hadn’t acknowledged him yet so he taped her. She looked at him “I love you” he mouthed silently. “Don’t” she answered, with tears in her eyes.
