Coffee at the keyboard, the puppy on my lap,
  Someone, please, tell me why
  I always hear this crap.

  Violence in the streets and bodies found in the trash,
  Suicidal kids who roll the die,
  Life isn't freedom if it's laden with these traps.

  Humanity is foolish, not learning from its past,
  People seem to want to die,
  They reserve space in bone yards to take a long dirt nap.
