The reality of Autism Spectrum Disorder
After four long years of waiting,
what was there to say?
the silence slowly, twisting, turning,
until at last the raging hurricane
rampaging through the house
tearing pictures from walls
lights from their sockets
doors from hinges......

Or at least that's how it seemed.

The force subsided,
until once again,
all was quiet.

Waiting for the elusive trigger
the catalyst,
that would once again
give birth to
unbridled fear, anger and confusion,
leaving in it's wake,
the shaking shoulders,
and heaving chest of one who struggles,
to be understood.
