A novelization of one of my favorite childhood movies of the same title. |

This is a novelization of one of my favorite versions of Puss 'N Boots ever which I would watch endlessly as a child and found on a $1 DVD rack at work (needless to say, I went nuts and pounced). It's also called The Wonderful World of Puss 'N Boots. The plot is as classic as the original story itself, with a quirky take on it. Most of my 'swashbuckling' characters (check my Forged in War series for a good example -coughMaxcough-) were inspired by the Hero of this story, Pero! A bit of history: The Wonderful World of Puss in Boots was created by Discotek Media and originally Toei Animation (fans of Transformers, Digimon, Dragonball, Yu-Gi-Oh, Sailor Moon, Dragon Quest, Voltron, and many many other shows take note: These were all made by the same company as this version of Puss n' Boots; check this link if you don't believe me: http : / / en(dot) wikipedia(dot)org / wiki / Toei_Animation). In fact for a time, at the end of their shows when Toei showed their studio name, Pero's image appeared as their mascot dur to his popularity (I have seen this on some of the 80's Transformer episodes which I own on DVD) Also, I have come to the knowledge that, much to my dismay, there is -no- fanfiction whatsoever to do with Pero. While I admit the character is old, he is an enjoyable character in my opinion, so I'm seeking to change that! I am working on a prequel to this story, as well as a follow-up. |
