A short and dark poem about the anger that lives because of what has been done. |
-Wide Eyes You Tremble- by Keaton Foster Looking down While all others look above Noticing so much Far more than most Wide eyes you tremble Death and darkness you resemble Terrible thoughts and ideas You fight to assemble Coherent plans of the end For not only yourself But for all that share The same boundaries of skin You wish to send our species packing Into the gates of heaven Or the dungeons of hell Destination has always been insignificant Wide eyes you tremble But not with regard to fear and uncertainty You tremble because of anger An anger that consumes Every second of your life Who made you so mad Is as unclear as why you can’t forgive Doomed by all that they did Committed to who you are And what they have created Sad some would say that you are You would of course disagree Being so angry forces purpose Meaning of your inner being And the darkness you are screaming Wide eyes you tremble Looking down While all others look above Noticing so much Far more than most When the time is right When you have all of the weapons That will be required to wage war On not only yourself but your kind Then you will strike Then you will wipe the world clean Never again will all that has been Ever be… Wide Eyes You Tremble Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2012. |
