Stepping into the night, leaving it all behind. A chance meet spanning a great distance.
"Some dance!" Judith thought.
She stepped back into the night.
The full room was a constant fantastic.
Each writher unloading their urban fog.
The nights repast.

But as dreams are when real
Judith now returned to that blackened maw.
The carnival receding behind, unseen.
Too much energy to look back.

The afterglow still blinding the future.

Stepping off the curb is the first step in the new dance.
The dance that hails the cab. The cool wind stirs.
The lack of rain punctuates impending dreary.
To lose one self. Anonymity wrapped in slickened city walls

The heaving, falling rain.

Walking, merely another teardrop, in a city of bleak.
But, tonight's autumn's onslaught had no storm fueling true bitter
making the nights loneliness that much more sweet.
Judith sat.

Her feelings slid by the dirty glass of the taxis' cabin.
Safe, for a moment, to be one with herself.

On a casual wood the trees drop sharply to meet the ocean.
One can walk the slope by treading carefully with ease.
But it was from atop the peak Dan found the spot between two trees.
Spacing enough to see the ocean in entirety

To its night time horizon. A line only seen in darkness
when body and eyes are both relaxed and still.

Steps, are required,
across crunched leaves.
Steps sliding over surface
must be traversed by sound more than sight.

The mind will focus
on darkness imagining the fantastic,
creating landscape to be navigated.
This is how to find the place to sit.

The back facomg the world and, sitting forward,
Dan can be one with himself.

Of, and which, the sounds swell.
An ebb and flow in time with some device inside.
No desire to claim any for its own.
Nor, none offered for another.

The ebb is a mere result of impending flow.
Released to fall and fill the next cycle.
A bird sails across the waves on some night mission distant Unsure,
as if existence really matters.

I see passing lights of shops across my window as couples slip into darkness by.
The heart yearning to beat to the windshield wiper and in its place,
for there is no rain,
I crack the window window open.

Closing my eyes, Maintain the crashing rhythm.
Cool air slaps full frontal face. Exposing, piercing each pore.
The shards of me are revealed through each start
reflecting on the water
below the line
only my eyes
can see
as they are relaxed
and still
on this night
between the trees.
