Thistles in the wind..

                  So I get a mail in ballot. I'm too lazy to stand in line to vote.
                  The first part is a referendum to approve this years school's
                  budget. . I did not know what the budget was. I voted yes, because
                  my dad was a teacher and he got lousy pay and then the school
                  committee voted themselves raises. So, I probably voted for pay
                  raises for the school committee.. Crap on cracker!

                  Next aldermen; I don't know what an aldermen does and
                  this aldermen was running unopposed ... So I skipped it.
                  State Representative Bobbi Beavers got my vote,
                  because I think she has a cool name.
                  I didn't know the two congressmen. So I skipped that too.

                  Then, I read the extra flyer that said I should use a #2 pencil.
                  So, I scribbled over my inked circles with a #2 pencil.
                  Maybe, that makes it official.
                  And, I mailed my ballot!
                  a day after the election...

                  That's how we do it in Maine.

                  So, be sure to register to vote.
                  That's what being a citizen is about ..
