Paw Prints in the Sand

We walk the beaches
Of the earth
We leave our
Paw prints
in
the sand

The light leads us
The waves call gently
The sky
Meets
with
the land.

The waves are playful
They wash our paw prints
The path we took
is now unmarked

Where we're going
is unknown
With questions
yet unasked.

Past and future
we can't fathom
We're with ourselves
at this moment

Mirror our person
Mirror the sun
The sparkling reflections
Heaven sent.

The breeze ruffles the waves
It ruffles our fur
It goes beyond what
we can see

The breeze that touched us
Touches millions more
All nature
in harmony.

The tide will flow
The tide will ebb
Our paw prints invisible
on each shore

But they're there -
our paw prints
In the eddies,
there forevermore.

The sun watches
The moon looks on
God's eyes
see
us
all

As we walk the beaches
Of the earth
Making paw prints
big
and
small.
