Waiting on the Shore

Gone, he is, my master.
I hear a whistle,
My heart beats faster.

Loping I race to the shore,
but he is gone,
to play no more.

Another playful pet,
Another loving master.
Mine's not home yet.

Come, emerge from the wave.
Throw the Frisbee.
I promise to behave.
