Ages ago, Lucifer fell from his position as a very important angel. He was in charge of musical affairs, and many beauteous assignments. When God allowed Lucifer's heart to become vain and hard, Lucifer decided he was better at running heaven and creation than God himself, and so Lucifer was changed into Satan, the father of all sickness. Since "six" is the number God appointed to Satan, let's call all the rotten fruits of Satan "Six-ness". But since Satan is the father of all lies, he tries to blame sickness, loss, suffering, and death on God and even Jesus. But that is not at all true. In fact, whenever God has blessed mankind, Satan has tried to steal man's God-appointed blessings. Look at the chain of events: God created all that is in Heaven- Lucifer tried to take it over God created the Earth and Mankind- Lucifer, now "Satan", sabotages God's blessings and causes man to sin God wants to redeem mankind from eternal separation from Him and removes the tree of life from Eden- Satan now targets mortal man to keep him from coming to God God recognizes that man needs a saviour to remove his sins and sends Jesus- Satan came against Jesus until Jesus claimed, "It is finished!" at the Cross. God's order is that no one comes to Him unless Jesus Christ forgives them first- Satan tries to keep mankind from believing God loves them and wants them to have perfect peace and health. Genesis 1:26 states, "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." So if God made man in his image, and God is without sickness and disease, God therefore did not create sickness. Sin is the source of sickness and Satan is the source of all sin. John 10:10- "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."- KJV Satan is also trying to blame sickness on Jesus. But that makes no sense. Would Jesus have come to Earth to suffer, be tortured and die if he wanted us to have sickness? Of course not. In fact Jesus spent much his ministry removing the "six-ness" off people that Satan placed on them. What book in the Bible was it where "Jesus saw a person and thought ,They look too happy. I need to humble them a bit so they appreciate me more. And then Jesus raised his hand and covered the man in cancer." Nowhere. It never happened. Jesus never placed sickness on anyone. It is still Jesus' full-time job to save us from the curses Satan puts on people who are not safe in Jesus yet. Sometimes Satan will try and fool us by putting sickness on a believer of Jesus. That's where Faith and believing comes in. We must recognize that we are in Jesus Christ and Satan has no power over us at all as long as we live for Jesus and he becomes our strength. Phillipians 4:13 states" I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" It does not say, "I can't do anything because Jesus is making me weak." While Jesus was performing healing miracles while he lived on earth in the flesh, he knew people would doubt him even before he healed the sick. In Luke 4:23-24, Jesus said,"23- And he said unto them, You will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal yourself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in your country.24- And he said, Verily, I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country." When Jesus was crucified he absorbed all the past, present, and future sins that cause all disease and sorrows. The New International Version of the Bible states in Isaiah 53:5{{/b}b},"But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed." I hope this clears up any confusion you may have as to who is responsible for "Six-ness". If it comes your way, recognize Jesus took it upon himself at the cross and Satan has no power over you. |
