This is a short poem on how I feel about my dad
Daddy you mean the world to me.
I am that person that your eyes see.
I may not have become what you wanted me to be.
Have done what you wanted me to do.
But I am what I am today because of you.

Sometimes when I was growing up.
I wouldn’t listen to everything that you had to say.
I had wanted to do my own thing.
It was you who taught me not to go that way.

I am grateful to you in so many ways.
Words cannot express to this day.
You took us in and treated us as we were your own
When my real dad didn’t care you were there.
It was you who was there.

I just have one thing left to say.
I love you more than words can say.
I always will till my very last day.
I love you and I know that you love me

I do know one thing and that is
It was meant to be.
God chose you to care for mom and us.
