What does money really do to us?
So despised and yet so dear
So much love and so much fear
Everywhere I look I see it
Emerald ambient
In our whole society
Terrified by what I see
People who have nothing, nothing
All their money spent.

If you look at every color
One stands out against the others
In our world it stands alone
To watch us as we slave.
Worship it, work for it
But we cannot treasure it
Nothing good enough to please us
We cannot be saved.

Nothing else compares to it,
Being forced to play a bit
Nothing worth the pain of living
How are we to live?
See disaster creeping nearer
Danger is becoming clearer
Call for help but no one answers
Nothing more to give.

Help us! Help us! Save our land
From the deadly sinking sand
Only one thing left to turn to,
What we're running from.
Turn around and beg forgiveness
Hoping it will grant you just this
Moment of disgruntled pleasure
But that will not come.
