I am a woody perennial plant with one main stem and many branches and leaves. ...

Living as a tree is a bit refreshing
Never have to work or make a living;
No hustling or bustling
Neither going out nor coming in.

Always grasping air from nature's chain
To outlive trees that never wane
Promoting growth that roots sustain
In a forest with seasonal rain.

But life is good as a windward tree,
Swaying freely overlooking the sea;
Picturesquely robust and full of glee,
Beautifully poised for everyone to see.

***The weather changes ...
High, moderate, low ... to all ranges;
A clash of the elements we all agree;
Sun, wind and rain on a climate spree.

The sun shines, emitting pelting heat;
Bringing warmth through woody creek;
Peeking with fiery brilliance
Shining its rays of radiance.

Trees, swaying to and fro;
Winds, tossing leaves high and low;
Limbs dwindling, dangling and pumping;
Leaves shooting and dunking.

A whirlwind of dust floating;
Winds raging and branches looping
Scooping withered leaves so high ...
With some soaring and falling from the sky.

The rain came pouring down,
Disturbing everything on the ground;
Giving objects a powered wash,
Chasing every drip that makes a dash.
