the journey of life, good and harsh, through the earths natural beings
Starting from a seed,
placed deep in the ground,
beginning as nothing,
there was a story to be found.

Completely alone,
left with the earth's nutrients,
life began to sprout,
and marked the point of significant moments.

No one realized it would survive,
being so small, alone and unguarded,
but there was a passion deep inside,
that begged to be started.

The first summer began,
and the times were pretty harsh,
but the plant fought through it,
even when there was a drought and it began to starve.

Months passed and surrounded by doubt,
a miracle happened,
the clouds disbursed rain drops,
and a little spring of strength made everything unthreatened.

Autumn was calming,
not to hot and not to cool,
but enough moisture in the air,
to keep that plant stocked with fuel.

Each day that has passed,
the green sprout grew taller and stronger,
far from an adult,
but a huge strive for success and conquer.

It's been close to a year,
and another winter has come,
this time things didn’t look so bright,
and the struggle looked impossible to overcome.

That passion to survive was still locked inside,
life began to look bleak,
but then the ground began to warm,
and once again life began reaching its peak.

Determination turned to rough skin,
and the bark started to harden,
locking life within,
and the thrive started to sharpen.

Years went by,
and now that sprout is a tree,
standing tall and upright,
untouched by the world's unnatural debris.

Not yet fully matured,
but with a new sense of motivation,
it's not about adapting to the world's surroundings,
it's surviving the initial deforestation.

The branches reached for the heavens,
and the roots attached to the soil,
it realized it would permanently become,
a remarkable symbol looked upon as royal.

It survived summer's heat,
and the dry sense of nothing,
pushed through it all,
striving to become something.

Autumns fresh breeze,
brought along some comfort,
until the tips of the branches,
lost their leaves and looked suffered.

The winter's torturing effects,
left some damage on the surface,
but that was only a test of ability,
and that tree became a fortress.

Spring's awaited renewal,
brought with it strong hope,
broadcasting the struggle to survive,
is all one big hoax.

The fight is never easy,
but the war is worth the win,
because after all is said and done,
NOT surviving is the only sin.
