A short letter I wrote to my wife while she was in the doctor's office.
Dear Wife,

Your voice is a frequency to which my heart is tuned.  When I hear it the universe seems infinite again.  It drums in my soul like the heartbeat of a star, ever promising the answer to a question I haven't dared yet to ask.  Your whisper makes the world inside me quake.  Oh, there are cities that have crumbled to dust listening to your quiet laughter.

Your tears are lances of celestial lightning that rend pieces of my spirit away.  Your weeping brings on winter and shadows the world in blinding blizzards.  When your tears pass, you let softly breath a sigh that breaks apart the clouds with sunlight, and brings to life a new age within me.  Then you smile and the heavens stand still but for the stars gently trembling.

Your lips taste like a spring storm.  Your kiss sunders time and leaves fragments of sweet memories on my tongue.  Your touch is a rapture that bends the space between heaven and earth.  Your embrace is like standing in the eye of a hurricane that spans across the galaxy.  Your eyes are mirrors that reflect an ocean from another world, and there I see life glowing in the gloom of possibility.

I behold you as existence.  I am your servant, your slave and your student.  I know that the strange force that draws all things together in the universe exists only to make certain you and I could share this moment.  All moments that came before it were a prelude for me to understand and all that shall come after it are a promise that I can make you.  I will always be in love with you.  I have loved you in every life before this one and I will love in every life after.

  Always,
  George
