It's Time to Show and Tell

        Monkey see and monkey do.
    Why do we need religion?
    Is it because we can't entertain ourselves?
    What is this need to believe in a higher power  ?

        Well, it all comes from the pack in cavemen yore.
    Cavemen and women would sit around the fire and tell stories.
    Sometimes they'd talk about a hunt or their belief in a higher power.
    Cavemen wanted to be happy and have happy families and go to the
    happy hunting grounds. Nice.

        However, cavemen slaughtered rival tribes and cursed their women
    and children. Obviously, they did not have a multicultural view.
    Now there are religious fanatics, who blow
    up abortion clinics and shoot Jewish children in France.
    Where is the evolution?

        Is religion bad? Like any idea it can be interpreted for good or evil.
    The problem with religion is it's dogmatic. You cannot be a Christian
    and question the Divinity of Jesus. That makes you an apostate.

          Let's take a moment and consider the evidence for Jesus.

          1) The only record of his life is in the Gospels.
              Apologists refer to Roman historians and Jewish apostate
              Josephus, but they only make a small reference.
              Josephus writes about a magician, who deceived many.

          2) Fantastic claims require irrefutable evidence.
              Jesus resurrection is not irrefutable.
              The witnesses were bias and the body could have been stolen.
              Jesus had a brother Judas, who looked much like him; according
              to Mark.
              The magician's trick of using a double could have deceived many.

            3) Jesus left his Apostles after his triumph over death.
                Why would a God hide?
                It is fantastic to say that Jesus floated on a cloud into Heaven.
                It is also impossible to prove.
                Once again the witnesses are all bias.

    It is reasonable to say that there is not enough evidence to prove Jesus Divinity.
    It is also reasonable to say that God existence is not self-evident either in
    religious dogma, since the evidence for God is presented in miracles.
    What then can we do about religious people?
    Witness the carnage in the middle east and ask yourself, "Will this effect me?"
    The Twin Towers were attacked by these religious fanatics from the middle east.
    These cavemen in Afghanistan are a threat to western civilization.

              It is not fantastic to imagine a slaughter of religious fanatics
              by the western superpowers.
              It is inevitable and has occurred under the British Empire and the
              American Empire.
              Unfortunately, Russia and China are allied with Iran and that could
              be World War III.
              The potential weapons of mass destruction could burn off the
              atmosphere and every living thing would die.
             
      Check and mate.
