I still remember those glorious days
Though many months have gone by,
When the angels sang
And silver bells rang;
When all of the souls
On heaven and earth
Stopped in amazement
And stared at us,
Longing, loving, just for a while;
I remember your eyes in the sun,
So many blues and greens,
Is this really my memory?
Was this all but a dream?

And the colors of summer still remind me of you
The grand sunset golds, the soft ocean blues
I know you only did

My only regret
Is that you never knew
Just how deeply I felt
Those feelings for you.

I’ll never forget that gleam in your eyes
The way they lit up on that very first night

Does a man ever give up
On that which he loves?

For the girl that he loved?
I still feel the same way
