Gender and "privates" and love, oh my! (20 lines)
When I was younger I thought it was funny that I had to keep my shirt on

because I mean really
was there ever anything under that shirt except skin

just the same

But mama said "no hon" No we don't do that in public
No matter how hot it is

And the sun kept burning and I looked so pretty
 doing cartwheels in my dress

I never thought it was funny when I'd hang upside-down on the monkey bars
in my pretty dress

Because the sun kept shining And I was just playing

And in the end it's all skin

What is the difference between elbows and ankles
and the part that we keep hidden?

we call them our privates
and don't talk about it;
little secrets between our legs

and someone says "penis"
 everyone's giggle,
and we're

not the Same

When we'd talk about movies--
me and my girl friends--
suddenly it was all about abs

Taylor Lautner or Robert?
 Dempsey's so steamy
 And I gotta think

that there's more to love
than ripped arms and a six pack

I think Marilyn's pretty
, and Audrey is gorgeous
, the Glee guys are only a meh

and when no one believed me
when I said I had no crush,
I thought there might be something wrong

and that's when it struck me, when I imagined my future,
I was always married to a girl
