Eyes lost in winter's change.
Winter II

Eyes as sunken as gauze over lanterns.
Swing my head, and the horizon is banished.
Snow rips on curving wind. Steaming vapors
Collate as this ice is empty as Man.

Wolves lap in pure desperation these patchy streams.
The tide grows longer, lengthen8 stolen in wind shifts
Evacuating off Cadillac Mountain.
Huddled my stance is bowed submissive  to farmland,
Frightened birds scream at the intrusion.

Draped, buried in frigid woodlands
Deplete of autumn's gold and immenense of spring.
I have been changed this winter, my isolate hands.
And frosted fingers mourn, howls embaumbed by cold.
