A chapter from "Banned from Craigslist" at BannedFromCraigslist.com |
Most of you are reading this because you want one thing: $$$$$ MONEY $$$$$ For me the cleaning business, especially cleaning toilets, was hard work. But it makes it easier when you like the people you’re working for. My favorite house to clean was owned by a hard-working mother with a 4 year old son. Due to seizures her son requires full time care and a part time caregiver. But instead of being bitter she’s full of life and one of the friendliest people you could meet. She works from home, taking care of her son while balancing conference calls and more. I like visiting their cozy little family every two weeks. It will be a sad day when we don’t clean their toilets. When I’m spraying that Windex, as I’m tearing off the paper towel and wiping the streaks away… I look at myself in the mirror with no problems. I can’t cure her son’s medical condition, but I can give her one less worry and a clean home to enjoy. I’m not doing it for free, but I give her a discount… and hopefully I make her life a little bit easier. Do you benefit Craigslist and the people you’re going to meet? Why should they give you their money? Why should they pick you instead of the other guy? |
