Runs and runs,
Turning corners as she goes,
Never looking back.
Hitting a dead end,
Turning to face her attacker.
He walks slowly,
Breathing deepens as he moves closer,
Blocking the harsh blows,
As she screams, “Stop!”
No one hears her pain,
Red taints her white skin
Screams turn to whispers
Tears running as the pain spreads,
Continuing his brutality, never stopping.
She falls to the ground
Weak and in pain, can’t move
He brushes her hair, comforting her soul
Walking away to leave her to cry.
Listening to her pain, and feeling his anger.
Her brutality is over,
As she runs to her room, hoping it could protect her,
Surviving one more day,
Until she becomes that concrete angel,
When it starts again, tomorrow.
