Memories of my younger life |
{s iz e:4.5} ize}{{/left}/b}RECOLLECTIONS Reading through some poems you wrote, Recollections of our younger days, Memories of you and I in love, And our happy carefree ways, I remember the poems I wrote you, You wrote some back to me, Yours I’ve kept close to my heart Have you kept mine? maybe! Your lips you impressed in a poem I kiss every time I read You wrote, they’ll be mine for ever, Always mine’ to keep, Gone are the years’ and I wonder What would you think of me now I’ve also wondered how you are, Would you remember our secret vow. Back through the years’ remembering, I was a fool to let you go; Out of my life’ to marry another, And I knew I should have said no! I would like to meet you again’ my dear, So I can touch’ and hold your hand, Our parting need not have happened, It still hurts’ I didn’t understand. Your poems’ they give me much pleasure, You wrote them just for me, Knowing your hand had written them, As I touch them’ your face I see! Hoping time has been kind to you, With me it hasn’t been bad, Sometimes I pass the places we knew, Touching secretly’ feeling sad. I long to see your face once more, Just to look into your eyes, And capture’ what was’ once before, The laughs’ the love’ and the sighs We couldn’t run with the wind as we did, Or climb the same ladder for fun, Or go through hay fields’ where we fell and hid, Those wonderful days are gone. I hope sometimes’ you think of me, For I always think of you, Although we may never meet again I pray and hope we do Wherever you are’ god bless you, My dreams will always’ be of you, Dreaming of the times’ when we were young, And the things we used to do....... {/s |
