I'm remembering the years that have passed. I speak of my readiness to leave life on earth
Gentle now do I remember, All the days I knew.
As little children round me played,
They made the flowers grow.
Now all that’s left is prickly stems among my flower bed.
All my seasons come and gone, to wait now for my death.

To say I’m sad would be extreme. To think of time as a living thing.
You know how swiftly it flows by, like a little boys boat floating down a stream.
To talk of yesterdays, only brings my heart to tears
By thinking of these things.
So blow gentle breezes on my face, Let the sweet dew kiss my lips.
I would not go backward to try again, this life I’ve already lived.

I’ve packed my bags there by the door, I told all my dear ones goodbye.
Before the sun can awake the ones still sleeping,
I’ll slip away from my time on earth, I’m eager now to see, the part of time,
That never was, will hold it’s door for me.

So place the roses by my side, Seal my motherly face with the powder and paint.
Where I go, I won’t remember, For now I walk with the saints.
Run, for the light to gently rock me, Run, for the faces of my family and friends,
I’ve placed my bags on the threshold, I’ll never need them again.
Away from here, No I’m not leaving, I’ve waited for this moment to stand.
Among the white winged angels love, often companions of mine.
I’m home, I’m back from where I started,
I’d traveled so very far away from here.
I’ll bask for a long, long while, I’m home from a long vacation,
I’m back among the stars.
