Free From Pain

My heart is breaking the darkness is my only seclusion,
You come with arms wide open
And leave with eyes and heart closed,
What do you want from me?
I give and give what i can but still it isn’t enough,
I want to free myself from this torment,
Give the rest of my existence to you
Then let the heavens open for my soul,
I no longer have the strength to fight,
I have lost my will to bask in my existence,
I am ready to just be,
Like a simple feather floating in the breeze,
Not a care in the world just earth and its beauty,
To have all of life's cruelties behind me,
And live with the passion that once grew so fiercely in my heart,
Where has the light gone?
Where has the simply joys of life vanished to?
Are we doomed to live in a world where smiles only hide our sins?
I wish to be free of this pain,
Let the earth consume me,
And let the rain fall on that day so all tears are hidden.
