A poem I wrote to lock away a memory.
I let you in and gave you my heart,

and the next thing I knew you had torn it apart.

You left me for him, but now you want back in.

How many times must I suffer again?

How many times must I hurt for you?

Cause you already split my heart in two

                              My grass was once green,

                                my sky was once blue,

but it fell apart, all for you.

I'm finally done, I can't bare to care,

cause you left me alone in that freezing air.

                                      Yes it's also true,

there is nothing I want more than to hold you

but I don't wish to shed another tear.

So why must I bear this terrible fear.

For all the pain that one word can bear,

shows you all the more, how much they care.

But you have betrayed my eyes, and ears as well,

and if I'm to be punished that feeling will be my hell.

Still in the cold, I wait for you,

and STILL I try to prove my love is true

Some will find me stupid, others will find me insane.

For I still hold onto you, even through this regret and pain.
