blinded opinion

on my heart wrote her name
the only fruition of my existence
through fire, through rain
our love was to all evil resistance

the future with her was lucid
the sight of her was intoxicating
with impaired vision of reality
fantasy could not be more fascinating

but now the shadow is cast on my heart
and my spirit is drunken with opinion
i now see a many reason to stay apart
for reasons pregnant with opinion

it has taken six years to build her love
shattered in a three week madness
to the blossom of another i now feel drawn
for happiness or for sadness
