A short poem on Depression

Dark night, dark mind, dark thoughts
Sadness envelopes me, stealing my breath
My mind refuses to see positives and finds only despair
The stormy night outside seems to mirror my emotion,
As if the weather is reacting to how I feel.
If only I could smile, perhaps then I could make the sun shine
Thus allowing some light into my soul
