A poem about somebody who is suffering and their connection with god.
Copy-Cat Crow, I hear your plea,
do you not know what you mean to me?
Like a fish in the river,
you swim through my thoughts.
And with pain in your mind,
for now my heart rots.
Away with the sorrow,
no reason for this woe.
Have you no place to go,
you Copy-Cat Crow?

Your cries for help,
they bring no release.
They hear you yelp,
mercy will decease.
Copy-Cat Crow,
do you know your place?
Do you have a home?
Have you seen The Face?
The face of evil,
of worry, of guilt.
The actions of men
In which this world built

Yet whenever you laugh,
the world has no doubt.
They'll cut you in half,
gawk as you pout.
At the peak of your sorrow,
the verge of your crack
They take it away,
they fade you to black.
You are purer than heaven,
and warmer than fire.
Laced with gold,
one day you'll raise higher.

The pain will now end,
yet, your power still taken.
Your whimper will send,
The Face you've mistaken.
It will save you from this,
you Copy-Cat Crow.
No pain, gone amiss,
It all ends tonight.
The Face is your savior,
there is no need to fight.
