Helpful information from my website to help job job seekers
[Introduction]
Hooray! Finally, The secret to proper branding.
Well, at least my opinion on the subject.
I have spoken to many people and read many articles on what proper branding is and how to go about it. Surprise! Unlike math or science, everyone has a different answer.
Not surprising, I find there is a bastion of truth in everyone's answer.
A couple of years ago when I first felt the need to identify what really makes me tick and what brings me the most satisfaction professionally, not that I didn't already know. I just had never dedicated time to think about it, write it down and share with others. Funny thing about writing things down and sharing them with others, for many of us it is the profound action that may change our thoughts and dreams into reality.
I, like most of you have most likely always had certain traits, ideals and passions that have been the driving force behind much of what we do. When I first committed to putting these parts of me, my essence on paper and sharing them with others, I thought of it as my brief bio or my mission statement. I developed and completed that soul-searching and reflective analysis of myself and my mission statement was born.
More recently as I come to realize I am in agreement with those that believe branding is an essential part of any profession, I have given a lot of thought to how you find your brand and how do you get others to understand your brand? After much deliberation with myself, I have come up with several points or answers to questions that I consider my truths and would like to share them with you.
1-As I searched to identify and find my branding, I realize they were right under my
nose. The very passions that made up my brief bio and mission statement, is my brand.
2-Once you define what you think your brand is and share it with others, if they asked for more clarification, get another brand
3-Finally, your brand will only be successful if it is important and meaningful to others.
In closing, pick your brand well and make sure it is truly your passion.
