A description of a happy man
The Homeless Man
By Kevaughn Hunter

My Home? In constant motion
You stare at me, you roam
Oh! I’ve gathered this devotion
How important I am at home

You intrude upon my bliss
Too many oddities to list
You laugh at my misfortune
“Poor man, your just pollution”

You say I am confused
As I dance and sing and play
You say I am pathetic
As a coin is tossed my way

I crick my neck, confusion
By your subsequent delusion
I am myself, odd or sane
While see, your Self seems to wane

See you laugh and smile and sneer
At my odd behavior, clear
Yet reluctant here you be
To accept my revealing glee

You watch, and you look
Yet you fail to really see
You try to hide the simple truth
You’re envious of me

For I am lamb,
Born and pure
While by your peers
Your Self you skewer

I have one face
You have but many
I have one purpose
You have yet any

But  I am the rat
The filthy, dirty mat
I am the torn up rug
And as thus I best be tug

Far away from the society
Away from where your eye can see
Away so you can never know
My home? I’ll stay. You sir. May go!
