The leader of Moonclan, Jaystar, Tells a story to kits.
JAYSTAR TELLS A STORY
" Now settle down you young kits. i have no time to fetch your mothers" Jaystar's voice rang around the den's walls. " hurry up and start the story" yelled boldly, a kit from the back. this kit's name was Featherkit. "yeah start the story, start the story!" a dozen voices rang out, ringing in the leader's ears. "If you don't settle down, I won't tell you a story. and I will have Scourge visit your dreams tonight" Jaystars irritated low growl shut the kit's up. "now I will tell you about the great battle." Jaystar's ominous voice rang in the now silent den. "Once there was a time when I had to battle to save my old leader's, Firestar, life. He was a brave great leader. I looked up to him. I had to battle dozens of cats all by myself, because the clan was being held captive by Rogueclan. A clan full of rogues and loners that were tired of the clan's living near the lake. I battled fiercely." Jaystar's story began. " I growled and snarled and fought like this: I saw a cat lunging for me, so I whirled around and I flashed my paw out. It connected with a snap. I had my claws out so I gave that rogue a vicious deep bloody scratch along it's jaws. It reeled away, screeching as it went. Then there was a cat jumping off a tree onto me. I sprang upwards and dug my claws into the it's furry stomach. the cat landed on the ground with a big thud. Then a cat bit the tip of my tail and i ran around the clearing, dragging the rogue through brambles and thorns and thistles. The poor rogue was covered from ear-tip to ear-tip in thorns and had clumps of fur missing, and it's body was lanced in thin small scratches. It ran off screeching. then a cat jumped on me and dug its claws into my shoulders. I rolled over squishing it in burrs. As soon as the cat let go and I got up, the cat shot off, but not before I gave a well-aimed swipe at its haunches. I leaped on a cat the reared up on it's hind paws, ready to crush me into the earth. I rammed into the cat so hard, I sent it reeling five feet away, and I also clawed his hind-legs. He didn't try to get up. Suddenly something rammed into me and i was bowled over. I couldn't breathe for five heartbeats, and at that time a cat was biting my shoulder to the bone and was viciously clawing at my stomach. i gave a mighty shove with my last ounce of strength and knocked the cat off. It reeled away and with one last well-aimed blow on the nose, it was sent screeching away. Now I'm getting to the best part. It was time to fight the leader of Rougeclan. I lunged at her and she flashed viciously long claws at my face, and before I knew what was happening, she flipped me over onto my back. I landed with a oof and I lay there, stunned, gasping for air, and she slashed her vicious claws along my flanks, enjoying my yowls and screeches of pain. Then with a flick of her claws, a gash was in my throat before I had known it. Then she waltzed up to my leader and took away his last life before my eyes." Jaystar shuddered at this thought. " And through what I thought was my last moments. I heard enraged shrieks fill the clearing and I heard what sounded like a heard of horses racing through the clearing, I passed out. But Jayfeather, the medicine revived me. and here I am." Jaystar meowed at last. With a flick of her tail, the kits scrambled to their paws and raced out of there. Jaystar sighed and curled up to go to sleep. "Loud and noisy, ah well I know I was once like that too" She sighed before drifting off to sleep.
