2011 Nightmare Alley

Well, what happened to that girl
I will tell you exactly that

You broke her heart,
Sliced out her ears
for you did this over the phone,
You shredded her hopes,
Slashed apart her dreams,
Left her Alone
on the cold desolate ground,
Alone in Nightmare Alley
She curled in a ball,
Waiting for the worst
Waiting for the best
Waiting for him
Waiting for anything
Waiting
Just Waiting
Eventually the time fades and she's still left waiting
Dragged away with the leaves
into new dangers, she plunges
Where he no longer can protect her
All the while
She thought it was You
You who pulled her from
the black mysterious past
You who carried her away
When really
You endlessly dragged and weighted her down
You who buried her

You who killed me

You were Jack
and I was Sally
Our love was lost in Nightmare Alley
Our hate was found in Nightmare Alley
Moon Fall, Dark Sky
Tears fell from our eyes
When never under the Midnight Sky
You said,
"I love You"
