Kayaking
I feel liberated kayaking amongst these islands, there is something so tranquil and calming about it. Colourful huts decorate each square metre of land surrounded by palms and birds nests. Monkeys swing freely in the trees, spreading a sense of  rythem. I close my eyes and rest my paddle among the kayaks rim and listen. The water moves beneath me, sending me into a trance. I throw myself into the lake and watch the sun dissapear into the dark. I feel refreshed and overwhelmed at my serene presence. The glimmering fireball illuminates a red mist and leaves me lost in the eary waters of lake nicaragua.
Corn island
I arrive on a deserted island where cars fail to exist, where nature engulfs its inhabitants, taking over thier soul. The atlantic surrounds the island's tranquil beaches, untouched creamy white dunes of serenity. Crabs linger between the rocks, actively jumping between the ridges. Time doesn't enter the everyday lives of the carribean corn, the days pass with clear skys, delicious banana bread, succulent coconut juices and the sound of reggae tonn. Hammocks bed the tired, swinging beneath the palmtrees, beds of giant pineapples hoisted across the shore, no worries, no problems. The sweet birdsong from the exotic creatures above. Snorkellers observe the underwater wildlife, nurse sharks, sting and eagle rays, lobsters and colourful fish swimming inside the treasurous coral reef,a collosal creation of masterpiece. Oysters, shells and seaweed live freely while magnificent monsters of the ocean roam thier territory. Divers become fish as they enter a world of pure delight, discovering the waters secrets, glowfish and giant turtles occupying the blue. I spread my towel across a stretch of secluded beach and listen, the sun basks proudly in the sky while I enjoy its warmth and lapse into an eternal daydream about the world and its undefying beauty.
The rythem
I can feel the love while couples embrace, swiftly moving thier interconnecting bodies to the salsa music. The drums beat accompanied by swinging marracas. Everyone dances, the rythem filling the atmousphere, lights flickering while nicaraguan liquor greets and welcomes the table's guest's.
Leaving Granada
Emptiness engulfs my stomach , it swallows my insides with an overwhelming force. Have you ever felt like your life is slipping away? I watch how the mysterious churches of Granada pass, the volcanoe which i once climbed  standing tall and monstrous amongst the city's maze. The children wave goodbye clutching goodies I bought them. My mind is flooded with beautiful memories. I have left my footprint, it is time to disperse into a place unfamiliar. A place new and unknown, but blossoming. I pear ahead at the road road which awaits me ans smile. Adios Granada, I will never forget you.
