Written for humor when my friend got her current boyfriend.
What happened to the girl I knew
Who locked herself away
Fighting back the pain she felt
Just to make it through the day?

What happened to the girl I knew
Who felt such despair
That her heart got kicked around
By a guy that didn't care?

So, what happened to this girl?
She was introduced to you
And the next time that I saw her
It was like someone brand new.

The pain she tried to hide
Had faded from her eyes
In its place, a happiness
That nothing could disguise.

Her feelings of despair
Were lost to your embrace
And every time I see her
There's a smile upon her face.

So the girl I used to know
Was lost to your charms
Fine, but if you hurt her,
I'll surely break your arms.
