After a series of bad relationships and jobs that just disappointed the already recovering alcoholic/ divorcee; Annie decides to use her college degree in education for the first time. She accepts a job at a small school, much different from her upbringing in the city, Flyerphille is poor, drug laden, and personal to its core. Annie sees the opportunity to start a new life and career as a teacher while helping those who are less fortunate in the poverty stricken town. She soon discovers like her, this town and school, have a past. One that cannot be avoided or chased down easily. When the children of Markland F. Elementary start to disappear, Annie has no choice but to face this past along with her own.
