An Answered Wish

With closed eyes I made a wish
and sent it on it's flight.
Fearing though, it might come true
and change me overnight.

For wishes that are as strong as this
that involves finding true love,
are only given if deemed worthy
from those secret gods above.

How lucky is my heart now
that they chose you to bring to me,
and I did change, but that's just fine,
because for you my love flows free.

You are everything my heart wished for.
Your qualities are so devine
that when our hearts join together,
I thank those gods that you are mine.
