A few short poems that I *may* one day have a bigger use for.
This Cathinone addiction has you hooked,
So drop a bomb or sniff a row,
the euphoria keeps your sanity at bay.

~

Leave it

Illuminate my path,
by the violence in your hands,
that slurs into motion,
beginning every weekend,
it sleeps from Monday to Thursday,
and Friday it screams nocturnal,
black and blue till day break,
reflection - smile the week away.

~

There are some times,
I wish I could remember,
exactly the right spot,
where I was standing,
when I might not ever have met you.

~

Scrawling memories
never to speak of,
just remember,
the days that we spent broken,
and every penny spent a token,
of affection to be scrawled later in the night.

~

You can't exactly handle me

the mood swings,
the self infliction,
the tears,
the pure addiction,
I understand,
more than you could grasp.

~

Strike the match to watch her world blow out,
it's not murder if the flame won't touch your fingers,
She'll let out that scream, that gasp, that breath,
suicide never smelt so sweet.

~

I sometimes wonder if you're the only one,
who hears the sounds,
as I start letting go of life,
when I keep begging for a resolution,
and you try rushing to my side,
as I start to flip a coin to measure,
everything we left behind,
I'll never doubt, it was for the better.

~

And as we gaze up at the skies,
past our lingering butterflies,
we line the clouds with light from eyes,
that never shone so bright.

~

We can try and pretend that we got away from the trouble,
away from the bullshit, the lies and smoke bubbles,
but we both know we never could leave this behind,
the town where our lives struck a chord.
No-matter how long we've been sober,
we always pick up at the same pace.

These poems are my own original work, this is the first time I have publicly shown them and I would prefer if people respected the time, effort and the emotional value rooted in my work by not claiming it as there own or posting it without prior permission.
