Will I ever be free from being broken?
I'm tired of being broken,
of never being free,
from the chains and bonds,
that are holding me.

My tears run red ,
blood from unhealed wounds,
and uncovered scars.

I'm like the crystal vase,
that everyone throws around.
I shatter when I finally,
hit the unsoftened ground.

Just another break
in this heart and soul of mine.
Is this punishment?

The clouds that trail are gray,
ominous maidens of broken dreams.
Why am I forced to stay here?
"Let me go!" my spirit screams.

But it falls on the deafest of ears,
and goes unheard.
I lost the battle and the war.

Not even glue can hold me together.
A nail won't do the trick.
I'm stuck being cracked and broken,
the blood making my skin so slick.

Like water from the fountain of youth,
to fall into a cup,
half empty nourishment.

Will I ever be free from being broken?
