This was a blues songs I wrote for a performance that turned out to be pretty good poetry.
(Was originally a blues song I wrote, so there is some slang)

Something new, to hurt me, to hurt you,

Bring it on, your head strong, bold boned,

Brought by the devil, hell-bent, and hound-dogged,

Drug by passion, your it, you’re the one

Something to kill me, so fast, a broken bond,

Your love dies, from hate, now someone‘s wronged,

Bells ringing the brain, lost bond, no chain,

My soul to hate, forever to convict, too much debate

Stolen passion smite you, new day, brought dawn,

She knew how to steal me, my soul eaten, and thoughts gone,

Buried with treasure, seeking my desires, and lost pressure,

I’ll plunge the deeper, but still swim, I‘ll always keep her

Try to cheat the devil, struggling worlds, separated but civil,

Somehow forgotten to give, stolen greed, anger to rid,

How does love soar around, with love, I’ll stay aground,

Because I can’t shake the feelings, so lost, too much doubt

The devil’s got the girl, not me, I’m troubled still, eyes open, thoughts quake, I start to shy, dreams are meant to break, because they‘ll never be fulfilled, the perfect love I will never make,

Looks like the devil got the girl this day...
