A love story
I know this pretty girl
Her head's in the sky
Her heart is with him
And her mind's asking why

I know this pretty boy
Feet in the ground
Heart kept hidden
Barriers up all around

And they're not star-crossed lovers
No, nothing of the sort
They're just two kids
Yearning for support

I know when they're alone
She puts her hand in his
She leaves her precious clouds
And comes back to what is

I know when they're alone
He softly kisses her lips
The barriers fall down
And for once, he slips

They're not star-crossed lovers
No, nothing of the sort
They're two kids growing up
Still yearning for support

I know this pretty girl
Her head's in her hands
Her heart is with him
But her love's in demand

I know this pretty boy
Feet at a moving pace
Heart kept hidden
As he tries to win the race

And they're not star-crossed lovers
No, nothing of the sort
They're just two kids
Yearning for support

I know when she's alone
She remembers those times
When he softly kissed her lips
And made her feel alive

I know when he's alone
The moments come back
That she put her hand in his
And promises of forever never lacked

They're not star-crossed lovers
No, nothing of the sort
They're two kids grown up
Still yearning for support

I know this pretty girl
Her head's to the side
Her heart's right beside her
And her sadness has died

I know this pretty boy
Body in the ground
Heart kept covered
Walls up all around

And they weren't star-crossed lovers
No, nothing of the sort
They were just two kids
Yearning for support

I know when they're alone
She'll link her arm with his
She'll drag him towards the clouds
She'll drag him to what is

I know when they're alone
He'll smile for the first time
He'll let her guide him
And he'll be ready to take the dive
