This is a poem about depression and the battle to survive it
I am trapped inside this person claiming to be me.
Not knowing each day how I will be.
When the darkness comes I usually walk alone.
The pain I face has grown and grown.
But scared am I, hidden deep within.
Waiting out this dark storm hoping it will end.

I look up and behold I see a man
My dark, handsome prince, wasn't in the plan
He has seen the darkness take me
And enters in unafraid. He would slay any dragon.
If my pain had a face.
The very fact that he loves me and can accept me so.
Gives me reason to fight harder than I ever did know.
The days won't be filled with sunshine, but this much I know
IT TAKES JUST ONE WILLING TO FIGHT FOR US
                                        to fight for our soul.
