The choruses of a couple of songs have been replaying in my mind and heart lately.

David Crowder Band and his song "Everything Glorious":
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours
What does that make me

As Well As

Phillip’s Craig & Dean - "Your Are My King (Amazing Love)"
Amazing love, how can it be
That You my king would die for me?
Amazing love, I know it’s true
And It’s my joy to honor You
In all I do I honor You

The lines that catch my heart and speak to me, literally caught me in the midst of song and activity, were And I am Yours What Does That Make Me. Isn’t it so precious that we are glorious to God. I’d been humming, singing and waking/falling asleep to the song replaying in my mind for weeks and then out of the blue it hit me what God was speaking to me through song. I am a reflection of his glorious greatness and to him I am glorious. He has made me to live abundantly and righteously, worshipping him in sprit, truth and song. What a revelation.

I am impressed with Mark 12:30 (NIV) - "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." When I am doing this I believe that I am growing strong and glorious in my Lord because he made me to love him.

Have you ever been stopped by the Holy Spirit in an aha moment of realization of what the moment, Scripture or Lyric was intending to speak to you?

Recently I was practicing a song for choir, had been repeating it over and over to just praise God and thoroughly memorize it. Namely because I always wanted to sing "it’s my joy to worship you" as it is pure joy to worship our Lord - Is that not why we were created? But deep down reality hit that the song was truer by its authors point than by the way my voice consistently wanted to rewrite it.

Think about it, seriously stop and think about the chorus and let the words sink into your life.

Amazing love, how can it be
That You my king would die for me?
Amazing love, I know it’s true
And It’s my joy to honor You
In all I do I honor You

Not just as a repetition, but as a holy and heartfelt cry to God that Yes Lord, it’s my joy...I will honour you. Not only in my joy but in and at all times (not just when it feels right or when I want to - but at all times) I will honour him. We will find the joy as we honour. Seriously, what a jolt in perspective I felt this past Monday evening when it dawned on me after the umpteenth time that to honour God is not always easy, but it should be. We are all sinners, yet he forgives. We all fail him, but yet he still loves. It is our joy to strive to honour him, to live for him, to serve him and yes to worship him in spirit and in truth. Is it not magnificent that he loves us so much that he sends his Holy Spirit to teach us and mold us so that we do honour him and live that glorious life he has given to us? - And to do it joyfully?

I just praise God that I am his child. Forgiven and accepted by him by the grace of the shed blood of Jesus Christ!

Have A Blessed Day!
