A Poem about the horror of a school shooting and the journey from grief to peace.
The Columbine

Doors open
Bullets shower
Shells litter

Great minds are aborted, young bodies cut down
Future doctors, future philosophers, future artists and future lovers

nevermore

A whole generation is gone in the blink of an eye

Parents grieve and ponder, “why my son or daughter?”
And there are no answers to be given

In the bleak dark of death, a lustrous light glows
A flower planted for each victim
A flower blooms for each soul
