This is a childrens short story about the imagination and devotion of a young girl.
[Introduction]
There was a girl named cindy with blond curly hair.
And in her red tutu went went everywhere.
She would pirouette with her mom at the mall.
She would spin round the aisles of her moms favorite store.
She imagined herself as the worlds most wonderful dancer.
To the car her mom would walk with cindy dancing besides her.
She had seen a ballet one time, it was on t.v.
and knew then and there that was what she wold one day be.
She imagined a world where she alone danced on the stage.
And being almost three she felt she was just the right age.
Cindy told her mother what she intended to be,
what she would become at the ripe age of three.
Cindys mom was always a most supportive sort.
The very next day it, for cindy it was a tutu she bought.
A bright red tutu all frilly with lace.
The joy it brought cindy drew a smile to moms face.
She wore it round the clock hour by hhour.
And only removed it when it was time for a shower.
She wore it to the park she wore it to bed and when she was
sleeping it lay folded by her head.
It had been worn so many times that some spots were threadbare with wear.
And faded from washing but did cindy care?
I can tell you what cindy did think.
She did not care that the red was now pink.
She did not see the threadbare worn spots.
Even if you pointed them out still she would not.
To cindy that tutu was her most precious thing.
When she wore it ,it always felt just like the first day of spring.
The vivid imagination of a young girl of three
can to this day be a most powerful thing.
Alas cindy grew up, the ballet dream far far away.
But the tutu she keeps in a drawer to this very day.
