THE PETALS OF LOVE

Love Blooms like a rose
It start with a seed; and from there it grows.

As the seed takes hold it becomes firmly set;
like the friendship you're feeling
that's not quite love yet.

The leaves and the stem build a firm base
like the comfort you're feeling
when you see each other's face.

The thorns have to be there
to protect and remind;
"don't pick the flower until just the right time!"

The petals and blossoms are the most beautiful part;
like the love you're now feeling deep down in your heart.

So hold onto that love and like the rose bush outside
it will forever bring beauty and peace inside.
